Demonstration Speech Intro: HI, my name is Hannah Johnson and this is my Demonstration Speech. Purpose: The purpose of my demonstration speech is to demonstrate to my audience how to make chocolate chip cookies. Intro: What holiday comes to mind when you smell the sweet smell of cookies baking in the oven? The holiday that comes to mind is my most favorite which is Christmas! Although we know that Christmas isn’t the only time of year that we eat cookies, it is believed that over 7 billion chocolate chip cookies are consumed every year.
I believe, and some may agree with me, that housecoat chip cookies can be considered to be a very tasty treat for any occasion. There are many different types of chocolate chip cookie recipes but I chose to use of my co-workers recipe. When we have professional development at work, he always brings his famous mouth watering chocolate chip cookies for everyone to share. Today, I can say that I am honored to be able to share and give you the steps to making what we call at work, Mr.. Was famous cookies.
Transition: Lets start by gathering all the ingredients and tools you will need to prepare your cookies. The tools you will need will be measuring cups, measuring spoons, mixing bowl, electric mixer, spatula, cookie sheet, and wire cooling racks. The ingredients that will be needed will be two sticks of butter, 2 h cups of flour, 1 cup of brown sugar, h cup of granulated sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon of vanilla, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, h teaspoon of salt, and 1 bag of chocolate chips (12 oz. Bag). Step 1: Step one, you will need two sticks of butter. *As a side note, it will help your baking process have a better outcome if your utter has been placed on the counter or stove 30 to 45 minutes prior to the baking process. This will allow the butter to melt and be soft to the touch. The reason why your butter should be melted is so that it doesn’t clump up in the mixing process. Step 2: The next thing you will need is a large mixing bowl. Place butter sticks in the bowl, unwrapped. Step 3: Now you will need 2 measuring cups, 1 cup and h cup. Pack the 1 cup with brown sugar, and dump it on top of the butter. *When you are filling your cup with brown sugar, you want to be sure to scoop ND pack your brown sugar inside your cup. This will allow you to fill the entire cup instead of Just half. Step 4: Next you will scoop h granulated sugar and pour it in the bowl as well. Step 5: At this time, you will need to mix your sugars and butter until fully incorporated, and fluffy. Steps: Now you will take and break 2 eggs. Drop each egg into the sugar/butter mix. Step 7: Fill 1 teaspoon with vanilla, pour into the bowl Step 8: At this time, you will mix the vanilla and eggs into butter/sugar mix.
Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Step 9: Now you can place 2 h cups of flour in the bowl. Step 10: Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda Step 11: Add h teaspoon of salt Step 12: At this time, you will thoroughly mix all ingredients together until incorporated well. Transition: This is also a good time to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. This will allow your oven’s temperature to warm to the exact degree. **During the mixing process, it is helpful to use a spatula to push down the ingredients from the sides will help to be sure that all ingredients are mixing thoroughly.
Step 13: Pour in 1 bag of Chocolate chips (12 oz. Gag) into the bowl after all ingredients have been incorporated together. A spatula will be more helpful when mixing the chocolate chips into the dough. Transition: Once all ingredients have been mixed, you can allow all of your creativity run wild. My sisters and I have had many baking parties and we always like to get creative by adding cranberry’s, raisins, walnuts, peanut-butter chips, and even M&M’s to give different twist. Step 14: Once your dough has been thoroughly mixed and extra ingredients have been added, Place 2 inch rounds of dough on a greased cookie sheet.
Be sure to leave 1 inch between each dough round. Place cookie sheet into oven and bake for 7-10 minutes or until cookies are toasted lightly around the edges. Once cookies are done baking, place cookie sheet on a wire rack and allow to cool for about 5 minutes or so. Once cool, remove from cookie sheet and place on wire rack to cool completely. Conclusion: So today I showed you what steps to take when making simple chocolate chip cookies. A. I showed you how to gather your ingredients and tools. B. I showed you to properly mix all your ingredients into fluffy dough. C.
I showed you owe to bake your cookies using the appropriate spacing and temperature of your oven. After your cookies have completely cooled on the cooling rack, they are well recommended with a tall glass of milk. Our family have made it a tradition to bake cookies every Christmas and we certainly enjoy being creative and especially leaving them out for Santa on Christmas Eve. It only takes a few moments to prepare your cookies and they should be ready in no time. Now you can have the opportunity of truly enjoying baking cookies and devouring a very tasty treat you and your family could learn to enjoy.
