A remarkable day
The sun is rising as it shines thru my windows and sparkles in my eyes. It is a typical Monday morning for a typical high school teenager but with an excitement. It is the day of my high school graduation. Graduation is an exciting part of my life because I’m the first one graduating from a high school in my family. I’m sure everyone is excited for this day and its finally here. My parents are also excited to see me walking across the stage. Today I woke up early because of excitement and a little nervousness. As I get out of the shower I see my cap and gown just hanging there by the door and I feet proud of myself. Hard work always pays off, as I said that to myself while wearing my cap and gown and has this electric feeling to get to the stage. As I went downstairs, I see everyone is happy and they are all energized for this moment to come alive. We sit in the car and started heading towards the stadium where the graduation ceremony is going to be held. We are finally here and I am super excited, I see everyone is just cheesing in their caps and gowns and there is this smile of joy on everyone’s face. Everyone is looking busy taking pictures with their families but I’m more excited about the big event. As the teacher tells me to get to my seat, I am starting to shake and ready to venture out of the high school world. While I’m starring at this one spot, I feel weird now just by thinking that I won’t be able to see these teachers anymore, today life begins to a complete new start, no more mingling with friends while skipping those boring lectures.
The principle warmly welcomes the guests to the stage. We all get up and start singing the national anthem. I look back to those mornings in high school when I used to get up for the national anthem. I see so many parents, brothers, sisters and friends that are taking pictures, pointing figure, waiting for their kid to walk across that stage with their diplomas in their hands. While I’m sitting…
