word count:325 Suffering is usually caused by craving. I say this because we as humans always crave for things that we desire and most of our cravings are usually things we want and not things we need to live. Most of the times we crave for things and when we don’t get it, it tends to lead us into frustrations or unhappiness. perhaps we do get what we crave but it doesn’t take long before we get bored with it and start to fain for something else this is how the cycle develops because when we are content with one thing we will move on to another thing to persuade. The movie “Titanic” thought us a valuable lesson on greed and craving. Every body on that ship was escaping from their old life thinking that when they reached to the new country their craving for wealth was going to get fulfill and that they will live a better life then what they left behind. Desiring for things is an important part of our life it leads us to reaching our goals but when you let your desires to over come you as a person it can destroy your life and cause misery for those that you associate with. Another reason why I believe that suffering is cause by craving is because we are constantly craving for things that we feel as though by us getting its going to satisfy our hunger or quench our thirst and lead us to a better life. In reality craving is only going to make us to suffer more because humans are never satisfied. Sooner or later we’re going to come across something else we will crave. Until we learn that craving for things in reality will only cause us to suffer more, we won’t reach nirvana or be completely free from suffering and lead a happier life.
